Beliebers are in for a treat: New Justin Bieber music is coming sooner than you think. On Thursday, the Canadian pop star announced that his new album, Swag II, will be released at midnight on Friday.
Bieber posted a series of photos on Instagram unveiling the news, including electronic billboards that have gone up in Toronto, Los Angeles, New York and Shanghai. The advertisements, with pink backgrounds, simply read Swag II. The album will serve as Bieber’s follow-up to his July release, Swag.
Bieber’s Instagram posts were accompanied by varying captions that read “swag II tonight at midnight” and “tonight.”

Also accompanying the midnight release of Swag II is a limited capsule collection from Bieber’s clothing brand, SKYLRK. A pullover hoodie, zip-up hoodie, beanie and tank top in the same shade of pink as the Swag II album cover will be available for purchase when the album drops.
This isn’t the first time this year that Bieber has made a sudden album announcement. Fans were made aware that he’d be dropping Swag just 10 hours ahead of its July 11 release. Bieber unveiled the news in a fashion similar to Swag II, by debuting electronic billboards with black-and-white visuals associated with the album.
Following its release, Swag debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, earning the equivalent of 163,000 album units in its opening week in the United States, according to Luminate. Sixteen tracks from Swag also debuted on the Billboard Hot 100, with “Daisies” taking the No. 2 spot.
