A Tesla owner recently shared a delightfully chaotic, and very 2025, use case for the company's FSD software, which relies heavily on computer vision and other AI technology.

After parking overnight in a loading zone ("They won't tow on a Sunday," his wife insisted), the couple watched from their fifth-floor window as a security guard prepared to have their Tesla towed away.

Shoes off and panicking, he started to sprint, until his wife yelled: "WAIT — just summon it!"

From the breakfast table, he opened the Tesla app, tapped Summon, and watched as the car woke up, slipped out of the loading zone, and rolled up to their building's front door — just in time for the owner to jump in the vehicle.

The guard, stunned, asked if it was "like one of those Waymo things." Cue an impromptu FSD TED Talk.

The owner says FSD saved him $400, a trip to the tow yard, and cemented itself as his "best purchase ever."
